Who we are

GradReady NG is an independent individual project helping graduates and families discover vendors, events and useful graduation links. The independent operator of GradReady manages information collected through this service. GradReady is not affiliated with or endorsed by Covenant University.

Information we collect

What we collect depends on the features you use:

• Accounts: your name, email address, sign-in information and account settings. Google sign-in supplies the account information needed to authenticate you.
• Planning and requests: saved vendors, service requests, booking arrangements, quotes, receipt records and details you submit through these features.
• Booking conversations: messages, shared photos, videos, audio recordings, attachment details and read timestamps. Voice recording uses your microphone only after you choose to record and grant browser permission. Recordings are uploaded when you send them.
• Businesses: listing details, public contact channels, services, prices, photos and information submitted to confirm ownership or permission to manage a listing.
• Photos and feedback: submitted images, publication permissions, app feedback and photo-removal requests. Removal requests include your contact details, reason and supporting screenshot.
• Technical information: information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as browser requests, security logs and abuse-prevention records. Optional analytics use a browser identifier and usage events after you opt in.

Why we use it

We use information to create and secure accounts, show saved items, deliver requests to vendors, maintain booking and receipt records, review business claims, moderate photos, respond to removal requests and improve the service.

Processing is based, as applicable, on providing the service you request, consent for optional analytics and photo publication, legitimate interests in security and moderation, and legal obligations. We do not use an analytics choice as permission to publish your photos or private account details.

What other people can see

Published vendor listings, their approved business contact details, and approved showcase photos are public. Submitted showcase photos stay private until approved. Business ownership evidence, removal screenshots, private feedback and account details are restricted to the people who need them for the relevant service or review.

A service request shares the information needed to handle it with the relevant vendor. Booking conversations and their media are accessible in the app to the requesting customer and the current approved business owner. A change of business ownership can change who has access to its request history. These conversations are not end-to-end encrypted. Authorised administrators and operators can access records needed for their duties. Consider what you include in a public listing, photo or message before submitting it.

Service providers and external links

GradReady uses Google Firebase for account authentication, databases, file storage and enabled analytics; Vercel for website hosting; and Brevo to deliver welcome emails. These providers process information needed for their services. Their infrastructure may process information outside Nigeria, subject to applicable data-transfer safeguards.

Vendor contacts, Instagram, WhatsApp and other external links take you to services with their own privacy practices. Information you send directly to a vendor or another platform is handled by that recipient.

Browser storage and analytics choices

Browser storage supports sign-in, saved form drafts, navigation and your analytics preference. Optional usage analytics start only after you choose “Allow analytics”. Declining analytics does not prevent you from using GradReady.

You can turn optional analytics off below for this browser. The choice applies separately in each browser or device. Clearing browser storage also clears stored preferences and drafts and may sign you out. Turning analytics off stops future optional events; it does not erase records already collected.

How long information is kept

Account and service records are kept while needed to provide the service, resolve requests, protect against abuse or meet applicable obligations. Some records may need to remain after an account or listing is removed; request a review if you want to know what applies to your information.

GradReady visitor analytics records are scheduled for expiry after 90 days. Private photo-removal evidence and associated request information are scheduled for deletion within 90 days. Provider logs, backups and provider-managed analytics can have separate retention periods. Removal from the public showcase does not remove copies already saved or shared by other people.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can update your account and business details through the available account tools. To request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object to processing, contact GradReady using the link below. Rights depend on the circumstances and applicable law; we may need to verify your identity and explain any information we need to retain.

Updates to this policy

We may update this page as GradReady changes. The date above shows the latest revision. Material changes affecting your choices will be brought to your attention through the service where appropriate.
